solstice yarn was founded in 2007 by Dublin Bay Knitting Company Owner, Tricia Maynard. Longing for more subtle colorways in hand dyed yarns, Tricia set out to create her own, and solstice was born. Since its official debut December 21, 2009, solstice has grown to ten yarns with two more in development for 2014/15. In early 2011, we decided to expand into the wholesale market after several requests from other local yarn shop owners.

We have decided to grow slowly, however, as quality is of the upmost importance to us. solstice is a boutique brand of luxury fibers, thoughtfully dyed in small batches and carefully re-skeined. Because we are also a local yarn shop, we fully understand the risk of bringing a new brand into your business. Our mission is to treat all of our wholesale customers the way we like to be treated: with respect, professionalism, consistency, honesty, and loyalty. Our promise to you is this:

• we will not undersell our customers
  
• we will not sell to other shops in your city or metropolitan area without first contacting you to discuss the matter. Only you know your market and your competition, and we understand how important it is to have something special in your shop that is just yours.
  
• we will not sell to big box or bargain stores such as Michael's, Hobby Lobby, or Craft Warehouse- our focus is on brick-and-mortar yarn shops, though you are of course welcome to sell our products online.
  
• we will not charge your credit card without authorization from you.
  
• we will promptly notify you of any backorders or delays.
